Bio
Carlos Merino is the head coach of NWACC's Esports team and the first coach in school history to deliver a national championship. He was named to the position shortly after joining the college as a professor of mathematics in Fall 2023.
In his role, Merino oversees roster recruitment and team development. He is a 12-year teaching veteran but leads an Esports program for the first time.
An Arkansas native, Merino holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Central Arkansas in Conway and a master's degree from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville.
