Bio

Dwight Canfield is in his fifth year as volunteer assistant for NWACC's Men's and Women's Cross Country and Men's and Women's Track and Field programs.

He has volunteered with the cross country programs since their founding in 2021 and the track and field programs since their founding in 2025.

Canfield joined the program to support his grandson, Aries Burasco, as he transitioned into college and began running for the Eagles. Burasco was a member of the 2021 and 2022 Men's Cross Country teams.

After Burasco graduated, Canfield continued his invovlement with the college and has been a personal mentor to various Eagles student-athletes over the course of five years. From helping local students out of difficult home life situations to teaching international students how to drive, Canfield's intentional support of NWACC student-athletes has paved a way for the department's early successes.

Canfield is an avid runner and hiker and was born and raised in the Natural State. He calls Northwest Arkansas home and lives with his wife and grandson.
