Josphat Boit is the winningest and longest-serving coach in NWACC athletics history.

In five years as the head coach of the men’s and women’s cross country teams, Boit has delivered eight region championships. Cross country has swept men’s and women’s region title honors in three of the program’s five seasons, and the men’s program has won five titles in five seasons.

Individual honors under Boit's leadership tally 10 NJCAA Academic All-American selections by eight student-athletes, six NJCAA All-Americans and three transfers to NCAA programs.

Boit has been a fixture in the long-distance running scene in Northwest Arkansas since joining the University of Arkansas as an athlete in 2004, where he won two individual NCAA national championships, eight SEC conference championships and eight All-American honors.

Boit joined NWACC from the Razorbacks program, where he was a volunteer assistant specializing in distance runners for five seasons.

As a professional runner, Boit’s accomplishments are paced by a 21st-place finish in the 2014 IAAF World Half Marathon Championship. Boit’s time of 1:01:33 was the best finish by an American and his personal best. 2014 also saw him place third in the U.S. Half Marathon Championship and a 10th-place finish in the Boston Marathon.

Boit lives in Fayetteville with his wife and daughter.
