Bio
The first-ever women's athlete to transfer on from NWACC to a four-year institution, Judy Kipruto is a distance runner hailing from the Rift Valley in Kenya. Born in Eldoret, she attended high school at Tugumoi High School outside the city.
She was named Most Valuable Player and Outstanding Performer during her athletic career at Tugumoi and also played table tennis there.
Fall 2025 - Cross Country
Kipruto stayed sub-21 minutes for the second straight season for NWACC, logging three individual top 20 finishes in the process.
She was fifth in the NWACC Season Opener Sept. 5, pushed the Eagles to an NJCAA Region 2 Championship with a third-place finish. She paced the team at the NJCAA Division II National Championship, where NWACC set a program record with a 9th overall finish.
Spring 2025 - Track and Field
Kipruto's lone season in track and field got NWACC off the ground in its first year of the program. She finished second in the 1500-meter run at the Dean Pryor Invite, NWACC's best individual finish in a track and field meet to date. The run of 5:27.70 was also her 1500-meter PR.
Kipruto's best 800 time in three tries was 2:36.40 at the Arkansas Spring Invitational. It landed her 18th at the University of Arkansas's John McDonnell Field.
Fall 2024 - Cross Country
Kipruto caught fire down the stretch of her freshman year. She finished in under 20 minutes three times in her final four events of the season, including both the region and national championship meets.
After setting a career-high in individual placement with a fourth-place finish Oct. 12 at the University of the Ozarks Invitational, she set a new placement record and a PR time at the NJCAA Region 2 Championship (2nd, 19:15.1).
At the NJCAA Division II National Championship, Kipruto cracked the top 25 with a 19:40.3 finish.
