Men's Soccer Welcomes Welsh Trio
Forward Hari Lambe and defenders Ethan Twine and Evan Rees are the latest to sign for the inaugural 2026 season of men's soccer at NWACC.
BENTONVILLE - NWACC Men's Soccer head coach Dean Johnson announced the signing of three Welsh incoming freshmen Friday, including defenders Evan Rees and Ethan Twine and forward Hari Lambe.
The three new players push NWACC's inaugural roster to nine ahead of the program's August start date, also giving the Eagles representatives of five countries, three continents and two US states.
ABOUT HARI
Lambe joins NWACC from third-tier club Pwllheli FC, where he has spent the past season. A true out-and-out striker, Lambe's profile is physical and ideal for hold-up play in the attacking third.
"Hari is a top #9 who has scored goals at all his stops," Johnson said. "He provides a big physical threat going forward and will be a nightmare for defenders to deal with."
Previously, Lambe was in the system at Caernarfon Town FC, a Cymru Premier club at the top level of Welsh football. Lambe came off the bench twice during the 2024-25 season in league matches for his local club.
ABOUT EVAN
A defender from Bridgend and a club player with Penybont FC, Rees offers versatile talent across the back line and valuable chemistry with Twine via their history playing together.
"Evan is a modern-day full back who is capable of playing on the wing also," Johnson said.
Rees also spent time with the youth setup of Briton Ferry Llansawel FC as well as the Wales U18 national team.
"He has great experience for the Welsh Schoolboys team, recently playing against England," Johnson said. "He'll provide great versatility on the left-hand side."
ABOUT ETHAN
Joining NWACC from Bridgend, Twine also plays for Penybont FC, where he was placed in the team for the third round and quarterfinals of the Welsh League Cup in 2024.
"To be able to get Evan and Ethan together was a steal," Johnson said. "Ethan is a strong right-sided defender with great work ethic.
