Three Final Additions Add to Impressive Local Class
Midfielders Nelsy Martinez-Villa and Lindy Phillips and forward Bailey Walker sign on and add three Arkansans to the 2026 roster, making eight from the metro and 10 from the state
BENTONVILLE - NWACC Women's Soccer head coach Nick Marquez finalized the program's first-ever roster with a trio of local products, as announced this week ahead of the program's launch in August.
The final signees include Greene County Tech High School graduate Lindy Phillips, Springdale native and Rogers High School graduate midfielder Nelsy Martinez-Villa and Pea Ridge High School graduate Bailey Walker.
The team roster now totals 34 athletes from four countries and five US states. Ten are in-state athletes, while a further seven come from states which share a border with Arkansas (four from Texas, three from Oklahoma).
ABOUT LINDY
Phillips was an AAA Class 5A All-Conference selection with Greene County Tech; she contributed to a fifth-place finish at the 5A state gold championship as a senior in 2025. She was a dual-sport athlete and also played golf for the Eagles.
Academically, Phillips was an A and B Honor Roll student.
ABOUT NELSY
Martinez-Villa is an attacking midfielder from Springdale who attended Rogers High School, where she competed in girls soccer.
She was a AAA Class 6A First Team All-Conference selection and collected nine goals and four assists over two years with the Rogers Mounties.
ABOUT BAILEY
Walker was a four-sport athlete at Pea Ridge High School, also competing in cross country, track and field and volleyball. In her senior soccer season, Walker scored five goals and assisted six with Pea Ridge.
As a track athlete, Walker helped Pea Ridge win district championships in 2024 and 2025 as well as the 2025 AAA Class 4A Indoor Track and Field State Championship.
After spending 2016-2019 with FC Montgomery in Alabama, Walker moved to Northwest Arkansas and began playing with Sporting Arkansas at club level.
NEXT UP
The full women's soccer roster arrives at the start of August and begins training ahead of the first match in program history Aug. 8. The Eagles travel to Coffeyville Community College for an exhibition match at 7 p.m.
