Two Matches Dropped From Women's Soccer Slate
NWACC Women's Soccer will no longer face Connors State College or Fort Scott Community College
BENTONVILLE - Two scheduled opponents on the 2026 NWACC Women's Soccer schedule have been dropped as a result of not fielding a team.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, Connors State College and Fort Scott Community College will not field a team for the 2026-2027 season. This pushes the Eagles to search for other opponents to fill spots in their competition schedule. Opponents are still to be decided.
The lost matches include an exhibition match Aug. 12 against Fort Scott at Bentonville High School and Sept. 20 against Connors State.
With the loss of Connors State, the Eagles lose the opportunity to play against a regional opponent. Despite the abrupt shift, NWACC Women's Soccer head coach Nick Marquez works tirelessly to give his athletes a full collegiate schedule.
Women's soccer is currently scheduled for 19 games, 15 of them coming in the regular season. Catch your Eagles in their first regular season match against Hill College at David Gates Stadium Wednesday, Aug. 26 at 5 p.m.
