Meet Preview - Hendrix Open
The Men's and Women's Track and Field programs set off for central Arkansas for the first meet of the season Friday and Saturday
BENTONVILLE - The NWACC Men's and Women's Track and Field programs are set to begin the 2026 slate with the Hendrix Open Friday and Saturday.
The team travels to Conway, Arkansas as they are hosted by the NCAA Division III Hendrix Warriors as the first of seven events on the year. All of NWACC's sponsored event categories will be in action, including distance running, sprints, throwing and jumps.
Freshman Logan Bouzek will be the first NWACC athlete to compete in 2026 when he participates in the triple jump Friday. The Atkins, Ark. representative will also be the first to compete in jumps for the Eagles. Bouzek jumps at approximately 3:45 p.m.
Saturday, freshmen Madilyn Guy and Omar Medina also break ground for NWACC as the first to compete in throwing events for the women's and men's programs, respectively. Guy kicks off her collegiate career with a 11:30 start time in shot put, with Medina to follow in men's shot put soon after.
NWACC's distance and sprints runners will compete beginning at 10 a.m. with the 5,000 meters and rolling throughout the rest of the day in Conway.
