McCarley Commits From Heritage
Softball star Brayley McCarley joins NWACC after one season of track and field at Heritage HS in Rogers
BENTONVILLE - Brayley McCarley committed to continue her athletic and academic career at NWACC as a track and field sprinter and jumper, as announced by coaches Josphat Boit and Chris Weller Monday.
"I feel excited to start a new chapter," McCarley said. "When I got here, it just made me have a different perspective on NWACC and how chill and good they are here."
McCarley comes to NWACC after a season of track as a senior and a long career of varsity softball for the War Eagles of Heritage High School.
"I have a very good, high energy when I'm on a team," McCarley said. "That's what people say that I'm good at, and then I'm really good at just bringing people up. At the end of the day, it's not just about you, but about your team as well."
On the track, McCarley ran the 100 and 200 meter sprints in 2026, her lone season of track and field experience. She ran both of her personal bests in March, with a 13.86 in the 100 and a 28.78 in the 200.
In jumps, McCarley holds records of 13-0 in the long jump and 28-4.5 in the triple jump, both set in April.
"To just have the college experience, I'm excited for that," McCarley said, "and to see how different college will be and see how I'm different."
McCarley joins a strong and numerous recruiting class in 2026 after having graduated from Heritage this summer.
